Founded in 1986, the center receives 91 children ages 5 to 12, providing a space to receive schooling support, recreation and socialization, complementing the school and sustaining the promotion of families.
Every day, the children receive breakfast or afternoon snack. Among the different activities offered, there are educational workshops, physical education, technical, crafts and computer workshops, dance, music and a place for free play. Additionally, there are parent meetings, birthday celebrations, and field trips.

OBRA SOCIAL CAQUEIRO
Caqueiro, Departamento de Rivera
Founded in 2002, by Father Mateo Mendez, salesian priest, to develop individual, group and community capabilities of children and youth in extreme poverty living in the Cerro Caqueiro neighborhood. It receives 30 children and 40 youth. The center’s team consists in 3 educators, a cook, a teacher, a coordinator and volunteers.
Among the different daily activities, they offer school support, dance classes, chess, taekwondo, vegetable farm and street soccer. The participants receive 2 daily meals.
